Studies with bereaved people describe dreams of the person who died as common, and many dreamers report them as comforting or meaningful, while others wake up sad or unsettled. Seeing the person alive, healthy or speaking is typical. From a continuity point of view, these dreams show how present that person still is in your emotional life: unfinished conversations, love, guilt, or the simple wish to see them again. We cannot tell you whether the person is sending a message, and we will not claim so. What we can explore with you is what the dream brought up and what you would like to do with it.
