A resposta breve
A mirror in a dream shows how you see yourself, or fear being seen. Many dreamers connect a changed reflection with a shift in identity, confidence or how others treat them.

Psicologia e pesquisa
PesquisaSeeing oneself in a mirror appears among the typical themes people report in dream surveys. On the continuity view, mirror dreams echo waking concerns about appearance, ageing, identity and self-worth. A reflection that looks older, younger, injured or like someone else is a picture of how you are seeing yourself lately, not a sign about your future.

Textos clássicos
HistóriaArtemidorus read seeing one's own face in a mirror largely through family life, tying a clear reflection to marriage and children who resemble the dreamer, and a distorted one to trouble. It shows how closely his readings were bound to family and household.
- Artemidorus 1644
Tradição popular
Tradição, não ciênciaTradição: American popular dream books, around 1900
Miller's 1901 dream dictionary read seeing oneself in a mirror as a sign of discouragement and friction with others. Old dream books also attached grim meanings to broken mirrors; these are superstitions, not predictions.
- Miller 1901
Perguntas para você refletir
- What did the reflection show that surprised you?
- How have you been seeing yourself lately?
