Terms of Service

Last updated: September 29, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [TO FILL: legal name of the operating entity] (we, us), which runs Pillowtea. By using Pillowtea you accept them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Safety page.

What Pillowtea is

Pillowtea gives AI-generated reflections on dreams you describe, drawing on dream psychology, classic dream literature and folk traditions. It is for self-reflection and entertainment.

Readings are not predictions. They do not tell the future, and you should not use them to make decisions about health, relationships, money or safety.

Pillowtea is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, not therapy, and not a crisis service. If you are struggling, please talk to a professional. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number. Our Safety page lists help lines.

You must be 18 or older

You may use Pillowtea only if you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. By confirming your age, you tell us this is true.

AI-generated content

Every reading, report and painting on Pillowtea is generated by artificial intelligence (models from OpenAI), not written or painted by a person. We label it as AI-generated.

AI can be wrong or incomplete, and it can say things that do not fit you. The sources and symbol meanings we show come from our own catalog, but how the AI connects them to your dream is its own interpretation. Asking again may give a different reading.

Your dreams and your content

Your dreams stay yours. You allow us to process what you submit only to provide Pillowtea to you, for example to write and store your reading, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your dreams to train AI models.

You are responsible for what you submit. Please do not include other people's personal details unless you are entitled to share them.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • use Pillowtea if you are under 18;
  • try to get around limits, paywalls, rate limits or security measures;
  • use bots, scrapers or other automated access, or resell the service;
  • submit unlawful content, or content meant to harass or harm anyone;
  • try to make the AI produce harmful content, or present readings to others as predictions or professional advice.

We may suspend access that breaks these rules.

Sharing dreams in the community

If you share a dream, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to show the anonymized post on Pillowtea for as long as it is shared. You keep your rights in it, and you can delete it at any time.

Our anonymizer removes identifying details, but it can miss something. Read the preview before you share, and do not share other people's private details. You are responsible for what you share.

Shared posts must follow our Community rules, which are part of these terms. There are no comments, profiles or private messages, and reactions are anonymous.

Content moderation

We moderate shared posts with automated tools and with people on our team. Depending on the post, we may publish it, show it blurred as sensitive, hold it for review, hide it, remove it, or end the author's right to post. What is allowed, what is not and what happens when a rule is broken is set out in our Community rules.

When we restrict a post or your right to post, we give you a statement of reasons in My shared dreams: what we did, which rule applies, and whether the decision was automated. You can reply there to contest it, and a person on our team will look at it again. You can also write to [TO FILL: contact email], or use any other remedy your law gives you.

Anyone can report a post they believe is illegal or breaks the rules, with the Report button on the post. We confirm that we received the report and decide on it carefully, without undue delay.

Our single point of contact about the community, for users and for authorities, is [TO FILL: contact email].

Accounts

You can get a free reading without an account. Accounts use your email address: you sign in with a one-time code we send there, so please keep your email secure. When you buy something, an account is created for the email address used at checkout.

You can delete your account at any time in your account settings.

Subscriptions: renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Before you pay, we ask for your separate consent to automatic renewal and show the renewal price and date next to the pay button.

A discounted first-year offer renews at the regular yearly price shown with the offer.

You can cancel at any time in your account with one click, or by writing to [TO FILL: contact email]. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Before a yearly subscription renews, we send you a reminder email. If we change the price of your subscription, we tell you in advance; the new price applies only from a period that starts after the notice, and you can cancel before then.

Your right of withdrawal (EU, UK and Georgia)

If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK or Georgia, you generally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason.

Digital content delivered at once, such as a reading pack, a Deep Dive report or a painting: we deliver it immediately only if you expressly ask us to and confirm that you understand you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery starts. We ask for this with a separate checkbox at checkout that is never pre-ticked, and we confirm it in your receipt email.

Subscriptions are a service. If you withdraw within 14 days of your first payment, the law allows us to keep a proportionate amount for the time you already had access. Under our Refund Policy we go further and refund a payment in full if you ask within 14 days of it.

To withdraw, send us a clear statement, for example by email to [TO FILL: contact email]. Your statutory rights are never reduced by these terms.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Pillowtea available, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change features. We will not remove something you have paid for during a paid period without offering a fair alternative or a proportionate refund.

Our content

The Pillowtea name, design, artwork, symbol catalog and software belong to us or our licensors. You may share your own readings, share cards and the paintings generated for your dreams for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Liability

We provide Pillowtea with reasonable care. Readings are reflections, and we are not responsible for decisions you make based on them.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, and nothing limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Pillowtea and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, telling you why where we can. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we refund the unused part.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.

Please contact us first at [TO FILL: contact email]. Most problems can be solved quickly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For important changes we give you notice before they apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel before then. Changes never apply retroactively to purchases you have already made.
