Continuity research suggests dreams reflect what we are preoccupied with, so a pregnancy dream can simply mirror thoughts about children, a partner, or a real or hoped-for pregnancy. When none of that applies, the image is often read as something developing that is not yet visible to others: an idea, a plan, a change in identity. Pregnant people often report more vivid and more anxious dreams, which fits the large physical and emotional shift they are living through. The dream is not a sign that you are, or will become, pregnant.
